The over all feeling of the wedding was depression era farm life and we used elements from old tin cans to scrap vintage fabric garlands to achieve the feeling. The guestbooks were vintage autograph books from the 1890s, the favors were wild flowers seeds, each program came with a hankie or handkerchief, and the flowers were kept unruly. I made the burlap table runners from coffee bean bags and each member of the wedding party was giving loose guidelines as to what they should wear. The result was an eclectic mix of florals and rustic elements that played harmoniously against the Windward Farm backdrop.
I hope you enjoyed wedding week here on Secondhand Sundays. Next week it's back to normal life and newlywed nesting syndrome. I'm excited to share my married life, art endeavors and passionate living with you on the blog every day. I hope you'll keep coming back. big kiss, bekuh
