Happy Friday friends, I'm so happy for this weekend I can't even express it in words. I'm really looking forward to a little down time, a little crafting, and a little music listening with friends. Now onto a totally different subject, because well I can.
I love the way rays of light penetrate window panes and bring such warmth and life into a dark space. Our apartment is very shady and we only receive direct sunlight a couple hours each day. Today's "happiness is" post focuses around those wonderful hours of light through open windows.
Happiness is...
1. The deep window seat in our dining room that has welcomed many a visitor to share a meal at our table, and given our puppy a place to sunbathe.
2. Reading a book in bed as the sun rises to greet you.
3. A man and his dog; bound by love, loyalty, and friendship.
4. Packages for the Button Factory, ready to be mailed.
5. Opening a couple of good beers with friends and enjoying a summer night together.
6. Spilling rice, but realizing it's ok to make messes. Sometimes messes can be just as pretty as perfection.
