Weekly Obsessions: Inspired By Painted Leaves

I instantly fell in love with this simple DIY on Pinterest last week, and it got me thinking about pattern, color, and texture. It's funny how an image can lead to shopping for clothes, and housewares, and get you dreaming about long walks to pick up leaves. This photo, in part, lead to me pinning woven baskets, plum colored shoes, photo album inspiration, and the prettiest Dear Creatures dress I ever did see. What strange things does inspiration lead you to? big kiss, bekuh

  2. Very cute post, hun. That's an awesome diy. I really like it. I also love those shoes but they're way out of my price range. One can dream :)

    Happy Sunday!

  3. So true. The other day I saw the fabric of one of my student's shirts, and then later I ended up gathering fall leaves and making a bouquet out of them. I guess inspiration can come from anywhere :)

    Happy Sunday!

  4. Funny, I have just collected a few leaves to paint today (having a bit different idea on mind). I know that feeling - one photo, object or anything else make you very inspired. It happens, and it's good

  9. I love those painted leaves! It's a great way to preserve the ones that don't turn colors! Too bad now all the leaves will be gone where I'm from because of Hurricane Sandy. But maybe I'll save this idea for next year!
