Back to Primaries

10.08.2012

Back to school season may be over, but my love of academic wear is just truly coming into play as the fall rains have begun in Virginia. I'm not complaining about the rain, because it makes things cool enough to layer, but it does do a number on my hair. Hello fly away central. I would say that a large portion of my thrifted clothing is focused around the few short months of fall. I have lots of vintage cardigans, wool skirts, and of course a school boy blazer. Let this be a tip to you thrifters, boys blazers are way better than women's at thrift stores.
Outfit Details: Jacket- Thrifted//Dress- c/o Wet Desert//belt- Target//Thigh Highs- Vintage//Boots- Clarks (3yr old)

There are two pieces in this outfit that make me extra happy today. First, the thigh high tights. I scored these burnt orangey-red beauties at an antique mall for $3 and they are in perfect condition! Second, this spiffy new dress I'm wearing. Kat & MJ of Wet Desert contacted me about picking out a piece from their new vintage shop and I couldn't resist. They're two friends, just like Katie and I, sharing in their love of vintage. I was really impressed with how fast they got this shipped out to me, and a shirt dress is a perfect layering piece for the fall.

What kinds of things do you like to layer with in the fall and winter? Do you have any transitional pieces you can't live without? big kiss, bekuh

  1. You look so adorable :) I've never found nice shoes at a thrift store, they only seem to have really worn out and falling apart shoes.

  16. Hi Bekuh

I really love your blog, vintage makes my heart sing! I entirely agree about boy's blazers, better fit and for some reason just that much cuter!
