I've lived in my current apartment for coming on two years and I have to say it has been my favorite place to live by far. I love the original old features like french doors leading into the bedrooms, thick wooden baseboards, and claw foot tub. I live close to a grocery store, movie theatre, and locally owned restaurants but, like any other renter I have my qualms with my quaint little set up. I would kill for new flooring throughout the house, air conditioning, a dish washer; and though I've painted three rooms now I'd love a fresh coat of paint on everything. Until recently I also lamented the fact that I couldn't find a decent chalkboard at the local thrift stores to fill my need to write messages to Ryan almost daily.
Enter chalkboard contact paper. I was weary of any contact paper that claimed it held the same magical powers of chalkboard paint but my curiosity got the better of me and I bought some off Amazon to try. I was completely shocked by the results, and we now have chalkboards in the kitchen and the bathroom! I've written on both of them a bazillion times and the contact paper has held up like a champ. This is definitely a renter solution I can get behind. Best part, it cost less than $15 total! big kiss, bekuh
