New seasons always inspire me to create more and be inspired more. You will usually find me redecorating, organizing, and sprucing up the apartment in March and this year is no exception. I've compiled a list of DIY projects that would be perfect for spring 2012 and hope you'll enjoy their bright colors and new outlook as the flowers bloom. I plan on starting on a few of these projects for myself very soon.
1.Fabric Covered Mason Votives
I want a bounty of these little beauties on my porch this summer. The complete how-to is on Fellow Fellow's blog
2. Wallpaper Lanterns
I have tons of old wallpaper laying around my apartment, I have a thing for it, and these lanterns would certainly put it to good use. I'll definitely try my hand at making a few for the next party I throw. Found on Ruffled blog.
3. Hair Comb
I've seen this little hair pin floating around on Pinterest for the longest time and I think Spring will be the perfect time to make one for myself. For the complete DIY check out Lemon Jitter's blog
4. Laundry Hamper from Pillow Case
I have a problem with clothes hampers, they never seem pretty enough to me, and this hamper project may just be the answer to my hamper problem. I most certainly have a vintage pillow case or sixty laying around my house.
5. Faux Porcelain Vases and Objects
This quick little decor pick-me-up seems bright, fresh, and easy to do. I may need to create my own arrangement on the coffee table in our living room. Definitely head over to A Pair of Pears for the full project.
6. An A-Frame Tent DIY
Ever since I was a little girl I've loved making forts and as an adult I'd love my very own grown-up fort to keep in the house. This a-frame tent seems like an easy project and one I could hide in the closet when friends came over. Be sure to check out Grograin for the pattern and instructions.
There you have it, my six ideal spring projects to tackle as the last of the frost thaws. Happy crafting to all of you out there and if you liked this Weekly Obsession post make sure to check out the rest here. big kiss, bekuh
