I'm home from my work adventures until the end of April which means our house is going to get a real spring cleaning in the next couple of weeks. I'm pulling out all the stops and there will be dusting, scrubbing, straightening, and all out organization of our space. I have a couple of new projects up my sleeve, and a long list that need to be completed so watch out because you may be seeing a lot of new and spiffy peeks into our home very soon.
I've been working on a bazillion and one sewing projects lately, not an exaggeration, and I have to say my favorites have been the new cushions I've been making all over the house. I thought I'd share some of these new beauties with you in hopes maybe some of you will be inspired to make your own at home.
I recovered my studio chair (a 2012 Goal) with some vintage fabric found at an estate sale last summer and I love it! It's a simple pull and staple technique and the results speak for themselves.
I loved this fabric so much I decided it needed to be used in another part of our house and so I made a cushion for a bench in our dining room creating another seating area for friendly gatherings and family holidays. I threw on some thrifted pillows for good measure.
After all of my spring cleaning is done around the house I'm going to spring clean the growing vintage collection in my studio space. I need to finish altering several pieces for the upcoming Button Factory launch and a couple for our one day store. I'm looking forward to sharing more store progress with you soon. In the meantime I'm off to clean. Wish me luck. big kiss, bekuh
