I ate grits for the very first time in my life at 25 years old, and I will always regret not trying them sooner. Then again Ohio grits probably have nothing on the deep south grits of yore. The story goes Ryan and I were in Charleston, SC for a quick weekend getaway and I had shrimp and grits in a creamy cheese sauce. It was love at first bite. Since that fateful day Ryan and I have been working on perfecting our Shrimp and Grits technique. This batch came out particularly good and I have a feeling it won't be long before we're craving this southern, comfort-food staple again. big kiss, bekuh

The south knows comfort food. And I know the south (I actually spent my first 2 years of college at College of Charleston...where shrimp and grits captured your heart). Therefore, I know comfort food. And I ADORE it.
