Feeling Like a Parisian Cliche

1.31.2012

Last week I was getting ready for work as usual; hair down, neutral outfit, simple make-up, etc etc. Suddenly I felt like I needed to do something to make my hair look less ordinary and channeled my best Bridget Bardot with a messy up do and lots of face framing layers.

With my hair all fancy I felt like I needed to spice up my black and white ensemble in a big way. I added purple tights and my favorite yellow belt. But, I wasn't done just yet as I walked out of the bathroom and looked in the mirror I realized I still wanted to feel spicier so I grabbed yet another belt and doubled up the beltage for a day.

Outfit Details:
Shirt/Tights: Target
Jacket/Yellow belt/Skirt: JCrew Factory store
Peach belt: Dorothy Perkins
Shoes: Payless
Necklace: Gift from my Aunt Dana

Is it totally cliche for me to emulate a Parisian woman with my hair and immediately grab a striped shirt and cream skirt? Is that so typically American of me to feel French in an ensemble such as this?Yes, yes it is. Alas, c'est ma vie. big kiss, bekuh

  3. Ah! Just found your lovely blog. It is fantastic. I absolutely love your hair. I pinned a picture that I love on pinterest of a girl with hair like yours and a striped top; she looked so much like Bardot. I could totally tell that you were chanelling Bridget Bardot before I even read the post. Love the outfit - pretty pretty. xo

  4. Stripes! I love 'em. In fact, I love this whole outfit. It may be a cliche, but as long as you feel fabulous in it, you can totally rock it.
